My Skinny Fat Journey

My journey with being skinny fat started way back when I was 14 years old.

I was always a chubby kid growing up and was constantly bullied and made fun of in school.  I remember coming home all the time and crying because of the things people who say to me.

I can remember people squeezing my fat and telling me I needed to wear a bra 🙁 .. NOT COOL! lol!

At one point I decided enough was enough and I was going to get skinny!

I ended up joining my high school cross country running team and began running up to 30 miles each and every week!

Of course with that much cardio, I lost a lot of weight and get super super skinny.  I ended up losing close to 40 pounds in a matter of 3 months.

I gained some confidence obviously because I was noticeably skinnier, but the fact remained… my belly and my chest still remained flabby.

At the time I didn’t know why but I came to find out years later through research is I literally had no muscle on my body.

All the cardio I had been doing ate away at all my muscle.

Through college I ended up gaining weight since I stopped most of my long distance running.

My stomach expanded, my chest got flabbier, and I lost all the confidence I ever had.
